Learn more about arts, lifestyle, photography, dance, cinema, theatre, music and food with Workshops at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.
Masters from respective fields come together, to conduct a variety of workshops every day through the course of the festival and are for all ages, mostly adults. Conducted at Artisans’, Artists' Centre and Gallery ICIA. The workshops REQUIRE NO REGISTRATION, and participants are welcome on FIRST CUM FIRST SERVE BASIS.
Our thematic for the 2014 festival is ‘ACCELERATION’.

SHRADDHA - CLAY CROSSING

Shraddha comes with a bunch of eco friendly and creative ideas with clay modelling and pottery.

RAJENDRA GOLE - PAPER SCULPTURE

Rajendra Gole is a fusion artist who works with paper, glue and dentist's tools to create three dimensional sculptures and paintings, complete to the minutest detail of form and expression.

 

SUMAN BASU - SELF DEFENCE

2.30pm - 4.00pm at ARTISTS' CENTRE

Suman is a Black Belt from Mumbai and conducts self defence workshops for children and adults to deal with the dangers of life in a metro. The workshop will outline certain basic but effective self defence moves and will be inter active giving the audience a chance to learn these simple techniques.

ANAMI ROY, SAUMYA ROY, NIKITA KETKAR - CREATING SOCIAL PROFIT - NOTES ON HOW TO BECOME SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS

Anami Roy is co-founder and chariperson of Vandana Foundation.  He was in the IPS for 38 years.

Saumya Roy is the co-founder of Vandana Foundation and a trained journalist.

Nikita Ketkar is co-founder and CEO of MASOOM, a non-profit that supports education at Mumbai's night schools.

AVID BRINGS THE CROSSOVER ARTIST (MUSIC) Lecture/Demonstration

Cross Cultural Music Lecture + Demonstration bridging the gap between Hindustani classical music and popular music.
