Learn more about arts, lifestyle, photography, dance, cinema, theatre, music and food with Workshops at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival.
Masters from respective fields come together, to conduct a variety of workshops every day through the course of the festival and are for all ages, mostly adults. Conducted at Artisans’, Artists' Centre and Gallery ICIA. The workshops REQUIRE NO REGISTRATION, and participants are welcome on FIRST CUM FIRST SERVE BASIS.
Our thematic for the 2014 festival is ‘ACCELERATION’.

KAVITHA RAO/ CHARUKESI RAMADURAI - JOURNALISM

10.30am - 4.30pm at ARTISTS' CENTRE

 

Kavitha is a Bangalore based Journalist who writes for The New York Times, Vogue. 

Charukesi writes on travel, art, culture and writes for National Geographic Traveller, Conde Nast, South China Morning Post among others.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to break into freelance journalism and takes them through the whole process from finding stories to approaching editors.

FOOD HISTORY WITH KALYAN KARMAKAR

2.00pm - 3.30pm at ARTISANS'

Kalyan is a well-travelled and well-connected food writer and consumer insights specialists.

 

Experience a Heritage Walk: Irani café's in Mumbai with Kalyan Karmakar and Kruti Garg. 

 

HERITAGE WALK BEGINS AT 4 PM AT RHYTHM HOUSE

 

Registrations to be done before the walk at the Registration Desk at Artisans’ and token to be collected between 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Note: Only 1 token would be handed over to one person. No email registrations would be accepted.

SHIRESH KARRALE - PHOTOGRAPHY AS AN ART

5.00pm - 7.00pm at ARTISANS'

To create a photograph, it is not enough just to take an image of something. In this workshop you will  learn to visualize and composition of the picture.

Participants attending the workshop please get their DSLR Camera.
