Young Transformers

"All the children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up" - Pablo Picasso

At KalaGhoda Arts Festival the little people have special precedence- a space where they can learn, laugh, dance and play. Come and participate in workshops and shows that are specially designed to interest curious and cheerful minds. We take no registrations and the children are welcome on first come - first served basis.

Our thematic for the 2013 festival is 'YOUNG TRANSFORMERS'.  We look forward to seeing you at our workshops at Chattrapati Shivaji Maha Vastu Sangrahlaya Gardens (Museum Gardens), David Sassoon Library Gardens and Kitab Khana.

Playnasium is a series of art and play based workshops designed by a team of psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists at Tattva Health Foundation to provide a space for reflection, play and re-connection with ones’ inner self. Workshops have been planned to empower individuals with ‘life-skills’. At Playnasium all learning is facilitated through play providing a free space to plunge into creativity. A variety of art forms used allows release and help connect with different aspects of oneself. These include drumming, rhythm and movement, creative expression through clay and paint, dance, body awareness and meditative techniques. Play subtly emphasizes the need to keep alive the child within, to live beyond mere existence.
