Theatre - a gregarious form that combines arts, dance, music, literature to create masterpieces that fire away the imagination of the audience.  At the KalaGhoda Arts Festival watch international acts , veterans and amateur directors put together plays across many genres and languages.

Our thematic for the 2013 festival is 'PLAY FOR CHANGE'. The Theatre Programs this year would be conducted at at Horniman Circle Garden, NGMA, Max Mueller Bhavan, Artists' Centre, Starbucks at Fort and David Sassoon Library.

Sekhar Sen is a name today who has proved himself as a talented singer, music composer, lyricist and actor. Born and brought up in a Bengali family of Raipur Chhattisgarh, he was fortunate to learn music from his parents late Dr. Arun Kumar Sen & late Dr. Aneeta Sen renowned classical singers of Gwalior Gharana & Musicologists. Shekhar established himself as a singer with a different style by singing the medieval poets like Raskhan, Raheem, Lalitkishori, Bhooshan Bihari & many more. To his credit, he has done more than 1200 singing concerts all over the world, released more than 200 cassettes & CD’s as singer, composer & lyricist.The mono-act is a show, dramatized by Sekhar Sen, who is dressed like Swamiji, and gives an autobiographical account of his entire life. The show is punctuated with songs from Swamiji’s life. A classical singer himself, Sekhar Sen is at total ease switching between a complex musical soiree to a heart-gladdening drama, and back again!

Their show at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival will feature stand up comedy, characters and gags headlined by Sorabh Pant and featuring Sahil Shah and Sapan Verma. There may even be one joke on black horses, art and SoBo snobs.
